In keeping with our glass working theme this semester, we visited a Chihuly instillation yesterday. It's pretty awsome in person. Pictures show the kids working in their sketchbooks and generally soaking up the atmosphere. We really appreciated the folks at this instillation for taking the time to let is look around. Notice that we have the place all to ourselves! It was a perfect finish to a great field trip.

I love Chihuly! I only became aware of him earlier this year when my cousin Beth in Pittsburgh went to see an exhibit of his there. I immediately rushed to his web site and downloaded a dozen pics of his works to include in my desktop slide show.
Where does that kind of talent come from? So impressive. Takes my breath away.
